The Barstow Fossil Beds have long been renowned for their rich and diverse fossil record. Fossils from this site, including invertebrate, vertebrate, and plant remains, as well as fossil footprints, fill the collections os the San Bernardino County Museum and numerous other institutions.

Sotheby’s all’asta un dinosauro di 150 milioni di anni fa
Uno scheletro di Allosaurus lungo 10 metri sarà messo all’asta nella sede parigina di Sotheby’s, nell’ambito di una vendita di 86 lotti di storia naturale. L’incanto avverrà martedì 5 ottobre alle 14:30, il reperto è stimato 800mila euro. Ritrovato nel Wyoming da un gruppo di paleontologi e poi è stato venduto ad un collezionista tedesco.
